Manual Lymphatic Drainage

A Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) treatment can be useful in treating the following conditions:
  • Oedema (fluid retention) in the feet, ankles and legs - often caused by travel
  • Oedema in the face and neck - leading to sinusitis, hayfever, headaches and migraine
  • Oedema in the wrists, arms and chest - often caused by surgery
  • Oedema in the torso - often causing abdominal bloating
  • Oedema in the upper legs and hips
  • Oedema during pregnancy
  • Oedema caused by sporting injuries like sprained ankles
  • Inefficient lymphatic system caused by lifestyle factors - for example stress
  • Lymphedema
The treatment time
  • To treat one area of the body only (for example legs) a one hour treatment will be required.
  • A complete treatment consists of face, neck, chest and shoulders, arms and hands, torso, abdomen, legs and feet.
  • A full body treatment may require a 2 hour booking depending on the severity of the condition being treated.
  • Repeat visits will usually be required. Your therapist will discuss this with you after your first appointment.
